Beginning in February we'll be having monthly after school programs for our school-aged friends. Check out what we have planned:
Bookworms Book Club:
*For kids in grades K-2
*The first Thursday of the month - 4-5pm
*There are no assigned books. Just bring along what you're currently reading.
We'll spend some time at each session discussing our books and then share a book
together and do a related activity.
Three Apples Book Discussion:
*For kids in grades 3-5
*The second Thursday of the month - 4-5pm
*We'll be reading and discussing four of the books nominated for the NYS "3 Apples Book
Award" and do a theme related activity.
Paws for Reading
*For newly independent and reluctant readers.
*Spend 20 minutes reading to our "super-hero" therapy dog Pete.
*One Monday a month - 3:30-5:00pm.
*Registration is encouraged for this program to be sure of a slot.
Dates and sign-up sheets will be posted on the announcement board.
Maker Mondays:
*For kids in grades 6-12
*The last Monday of the month - 4-5pm
*Join us for some hands-on, creative activities, such as altered book art and duct tape
crafts.
*Registration is encouraged for this program so we'll be sure to have enough supplies.
Further details on all of these programs are available at the library.
