Registration for the reading clubs and programs will begin on June 22nd.

Spring Break Activities

With snow still flying around it's hard to believe that it's spring break time, but here it is!  We have some fun activities planned for the kids this coming week.

On Mon. Mar. 30th at 10am we'll be having a special Baby Break program -" Move & Groove!"  Open to little ones, ages 0-36 months and their parents and caregivers, we'll be moving and grooving, dancing and prancing.  No registration is required for this program.

On Tues. Mar. 31st, Thurs. Apr. 2nd & Fri. Apr. 3rd at 11:00am we'll be offering beginner chess lessons to kids in grades 3-6.  Have you always wanted to learn how to play chess, do you need to practice your skills?  Here's your chance.  We have a guest instructor for this program, so registration is required.

We'll be celebrating all things tricky and silly with stories, crafts, puzzles and games on Wed. Apr. 1st at 2:00pm at our April Fool's Day Party.  This program is for kids in grades 1 & up.  Registration is required for this program.

"Everything's Ducky" is the theme of our Family Story Time on Thurs. Apr. 2nd at 1:00pm.  This program of stories, songs and rhymes is for kids age 3-6.  No registration is required.

Finally, on Friday Apr. 3rd at 12:30pm kids ages 5 and up are invited for Legos & Lunch.  Bring a lunch and come watch "The Lego Movie".  Stay around after the movie for some Lego building fun.  No registration is required for this program.

February Break Activities

We have week's worth of activities planned for next week's President's Week school break.

On Monday, Feb. 16th at 10:00am we'll be having Baby Break.  Children ages 0-36 months and their parents and caregivers are invited to come for a 20 minute program of songs, rhymes, finger plays and a simple story.  This will be followed by open play time.  This is a drop in program, no registration is required.

We'll be having a Lego Afternoon on Tuesday, Feb. 17th from 2-3pm.  This program is for kids 6 and up.  We provide the Legos, the kids provide the imagination.  Due to limited space in the meeting room, registration is required for this program.

Games and puzzles are the focus of a program on Wednesday, Feb. 18th from 2-3pm.  Kids ages 5 and up are invited to come play some favorite board games and try out some new ones.  We'll also be having fun with puzzles of all kind.   No registration is required for this program.

We'll be celebrating Chinese New Year on Thursday, Feb. 19th at 11:00am with a family story time for kids ages 3-6.  We'll be reading some stories about this holiday as well as sharing a Chinese story or two.  After the stories kids will get a chance to make a couple of simple crafts to continue the celebration at home.  Registration is required for this program.

Finally on Friday, Feb. 20th at 3:30pm we'll be having a movie afternoon. We'll be showing the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  The hysterically funny, best-selling book comes to life in this family comedy. Greg Heffley is headed for big things, but first he has to survive the scariest, most humiliating experience of any kid’s life – middle school! That won’t be easy, considering he’s surrounded by hairy-freckled morons, wedgie-loving bullies and a moldy slice of cheese with nuclear cooties.  No registration is required for this program and kids are invited to bring along a snack.

It's Story Time Season Again!

The holidays are over, we've taken care of all our end of year reports so now we're ready for the winter/spring session of story times.

Mother Goose Time for our littlest patrons, babies ages 0-18 months begins on Mon. Feb. 2nd.  These classes begin at 10:30 and run for about 20 minutes.  An open play time follows the program.  These are drop-in sessions, no registration is required.

Preschool Story Time for kids ages 3 to 5 begins on Tues. Feb. 3rd and Wed. Feb. 4th.  These classes run from 10:15 to 10:45 and 1:00 to 1:30 both days.  Preregistration is required for these classes.

Toddler Time for children ages 18-36 months will begin on Thurs. Feb. 26th and Fri. Feb. 27th.  These are also drop-in sessions, no registration is required.
